Nick Interview in the April Issue of In Rock
Nick was interviewed a few months back for In Rock magazine in Japan. They published his interview in the April issue of In Rock. Thanks to Tony for the translation.
Nick was doing some exercises, when I called him. While using earphone to chat with me, Nick still continue his exercises. From the other side of the phone, every now or then I can hear the gasps of breath causing by exercises like “ha…ha….”.What kind of exercises this guy is doing? With this kind of doubt, I started my interview with him.
–How’s going recently?
Nick: Awesome!

"I think music needs more credit as medication..." update 翻譯
Hello Nick!
Whazzzup!
Here he is! How are you?
(Ludicrous Dick Van Dyke-style approximation of English accent) ‘Hello!’ (Chuckles at length)
Do people actually still say ‘whazzzup’?
I don’t know, but I still say it. I need to get a little more current, huh?

Backstreet Boy Nick Carter: "Call Us What You Want to Call Us...We Really Don't Care" update翻譯
我只能說這標題下的真好
Call them bubblegum. Call them a boy band. Call them, well seeing as how they're much older than any Jonas, Backstreet Men. It doesn't matter to Nick Carter so long as people keep listening to their unapologetic dance pop music and buying their records. "Words can't describe the way I feel," the Backstreet Boy said of his band's forthcoming new album "This Is Us" - out Oct. 6. "Everything just fit like a glove." The band's seventh studio album is vintage Backstreet: infectious dance tracks (like first single "Straight Through My Heart") to killer ballads but with a twist. The producers and writers on the album include T-Pain, Max Martin, RedOne, and Soulshock. Impressive, and Carter knows it. I spoke with him late last month about the record, and how he and bandmates (Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell and AJ McLean) have managed to stick together no matter how many times they've been thrown under a bus (especially Carter).
It's been awhile since we've heard from you guys. What was the logic going into the studio this time out?

Backstreet looks to change its sound...附翻譯
Nick Carter is the most visible face of the Backstreet Boys, the vocal group that sold more than 75 million albums in its chart-topping '90s heyday.
Carter, Brian Littrell, Howie Dorough and AJ McLean reunited a second time in 2007 to release their fifth studio album, Unbreakable. The group, which no longer includes Kevin Richardson, has toured extensively since and stops Friday in Phoenix.
Carter, 28, checked in from a tour stop in Canada.

Backstreet Boys Embrace The Challange
According to Backstreet Boy Nick Carter, the proof is in the pudding. Or lack there of.
Carter told The Spectator that he's shed 45 pounds in the past three years, and the loss of the fat has put new energy into his performance.
"I'm at 170 pounds now," Carter said. "On the Never Gone tour (2005) I was 215 pounds, so physically, onstage, the energy is beyond belief. It's from staying on top.

Backsteet Boys keep on going

Many boy bands of yesteryear have seen their time and whittled away into faded memories of concert programs and t-shirts, likely hidden at the back of the closest.
Though bubble-gum pop band New Kids on the Block have been resurrected, the ever-familiar Backstreet Boys have never left the music scene. It’s hard to believe that 15 years have passed since they first stepped into the music world and broke concert sales records.
Even with all hardships such as major health issues, substance abuse and the loss of one member, Kevin Richardson — the Backstreet Boys just keep on going.

NICK ON OK MAGAZINE INTERVIEW
Who is your celebrity crush?
I don’t have a crush on anybody. You’ve got to meet people and get to know them because for me it’s all about the right place and the right time. You can’t judge a book by its cover.
