A Backstreet Boys can also on his own!

Hamburg, 18.4.08 - AJ McLean, who has touched as one of the Backstreet Boys voices millions of fans will perform 1st june in Hamburg. On the showcase he will introduce his upcoming solo debut album which will be on sale in the end of 2008.



For creating his solo album AJ spent most of his time in the last 12 months in the studio for writing songs with One Republic's Ryan Tedder, *NSYNC's JC CHasez and also indusrty legends like Mark Hudson and Kristin Lundin. The album which is seen by himself as "pushing the envelope" cuts the cord of the Backstreet Boys and has brung AJ to his own.
A very personal album b/c it was inspired by his experiences in life - inclusive his alcohol addiction.

AJ sais about his own material "This album has allowed me to find myself and the feeling who I really am. I have written with fantastic people like Ryan Tedder and Mark Hudson and I'm sure that I'll surprise the audience with this direction."

He goes on to say about his about the sound: "We have recorded from time to time in Nashville that we have the special Southern-Rock-Vibe but also in San Francisco and Los Angeles. This album allows me to show another site of me"

When you hear the album the first time you know that AJ is "real", in his words and "a sponge in order to musical influences". You recognize the passed Lenny Kravitz, a lil bit of Jamiroquai and Daft Punk and the whole thing is rounded with Lynard Skynyrd. If you can only choose one word for describing it would be funky.

In order to the massive success with the worldwide biggest boyband AJ is knowing the chartsuccess. The album which hasn't currently a name, but AJ has a view ideas, is a vision and won't be a compromiss.

On the BSB worldtour where everyone is performing a solo song AJ has won a few fans. The album release is planned for the end of 2008 and on the intimitate tour in Europe he'll try to bring new and old fans together.

AJ's tour will start on 15th may in London and continues in Germany (Frankfurt, Hamburg, Cologne, Berlin), Sweden, the Netherlands, Denmark to the last date on 6th june in Paris.
