Part 1

I know that its 4 of you now but its still weird to not see Kevin

Howie: he's out of frame,he's in the bathroom

Whats the biggest difference with him not there? I know he was daddy, he was the one trying to keep you guys going along when you were little back in the days but whats the difference?

Brian: the Unbreakable CD came out a couple of years ago, we've been moving around still hustling as BSBs, this is the new phase of the BSBs as 4. I think the group is a little more youthful
Your related to him!

Brian:- well yeah, no, I think its the overall moral and attitude, kind of what we're trying to focus on and stay with. We're more focussed now

Howie:- we're all in a great place with him, we all keep in touch. He's in a great place right now, he has a son. I always think of it like we're all a family, he's the first kid that went off to college but but the house is still here, we're all undergrads.

Tell us what this music is like now? give us a vibe of it

Nick: this music represents us and who we are in 2009. This is us. Its definitely stuff that, you know we love listening to the radio, listening to everyone from Lady Gaga to Akon to dance and we just wanna be us but at the same time, the Black Eyed Peas, play alongside them.

Brian, didn't you love country music at one point?

Brian: yeah I like all kinds of music, in this business you have to like all kinds of music, hip hop, R&B, rap. Music is music, music brings people together hopefully we still do.

What about the rock component of this group?

AJ:- I think we've, after the NG CD which is more of an organic sound, we're now experimenting with something new. The Unbreakable CD got us closer to the right direction, this new CD is definitelt coming closer to our roots, more R&B. There's alot of uptempo on this record, so we can being it to the stage.

Whats this new album going to be called?

Howie: Its called This Is Us.

What is 'Us' to you, AJ?

AJ: Us to me, is, aside from two letters, its family, its the comerardery we have. We've grown up, me and Nick, in this group, this is us.

Nick: Unfortunately but fortunately alot of songs on this album have come out on the internet and we've heard what people think of them and they love them. So we just want to get out on the road, we're already working on a world tour and we just want to get out there. We're excited to get new fans/band(?) as well.

The record industry is so much different than it was 10 years ago, does this worry you?

Howie: I think we're very fortunate that we were able to ride the storm before the industry started tanking. We're fortunate that we have a worldwide fanbase, for us touring is our biggest thing. We've seen record sales aren't the same anymore.

Nick: thats how it was in the 50s and 60s, there were alot of singles. People want good music, our job is to make sure that the album from top to bottom is full of good singles.

Brian: when we first got together, people would have a big hit single and their album was trashed. People started moving to itunes, to the internet, so thats what Nick was talking about when we first started we made albums that tried to turn heads, to get noticed.




Part 2

You guys know who your bringing on board, which producers your excited about?

All: Jim Jonsin, Claude Kelly, T-Pain

Nick: Jim Jonsin we were excited about working with, he did the beat for lollipop and he did TIs whatever you like and I was like we've got to get some like tempos and beat we can dance to on stage

Sexy ones?

Brian: a little bit!

Nick: no we're having fun, the way things are and music wise, we're putting our hearts and souls into it.

AJ: I think this whole past record cycle and the whole tour, there's a whole brand new fresh vibe to us. The last tour was the 5 of us so we all went and did things as a group, we went to see Batman in Imax.

Who likes being chased down the street by girls most?

AJ

Who regrets missing out on a 'normal' childhood?

Nick: its been a long time since I thought about that. The past is the past but now im trying to concentrate on the future, I dont want to drown in sorrows, lets move on from that

AJ: which kid wouldn't want to travel and be reading about the Berlin wall and be able to actually see it and all of that.

There is a downside to being rich and famous when your young, anyone want to talk about that?

Nick: there's anything from drugs and alcohol, splitting up, divorces but in a way as like AJ and all of us have had our trials and tribulations. Its the people that can come out on top that I look up to. So thats pretty much what I've been doing but there are and you just have to find your own way through, if its like Brian being Christian and having God in your life or going to AA or having good friends, whatever it is, or if you can't then there's always internet(?) others stories.(?)

Brian: My philosophy is that you are your environment, what you put yourself in, you put yourself in those wrong spots then things happen. Its just figuring out where you want to land when you hit the top. I think we've landed in a really good spot. As long as we can sing, we'll be here.

AJ: even with walkers, we'll still be doing it (lol)

and AJ how have the group been for you?

AJ: they've been great, as well as my real family their my other family. They've been there for me since I started going through my whole rollercoaster of (?)

Part 3

Nick I know your so much younger than Kevin, your a grown man now. You did a reality show with your brothers and sisters, that was very revealing, would you ever do that again?

Nick: well you try things out and I think all of us, the reality TV show tends to be quite revealing but thats not the world I want to be in, I'd rather be a music artist and a legitimate actor.

Howie/AJ:- He's acting right now

Really?

Nick:- Yes. We're all acting, Howies' acting right now.

AJ you had a reality show with Sarah?

AJ:- Not really a reality show, we did have it was a TV show about our whole preparation of the wedding we never had. It was fun to film it because there was alot of funny things that happened off camera. Like the caterer who couldn't say certain words like lonely

Why would he have to say lonely?

AJ: I dont know but he couldn't say it. He was a little asian man and he just couldn't say it right.

Can you explain what Kawasakis is?

Brian: Kawasaki's is something that hurts your insides of your aortic valve and your tricuspid valve and what happens is it causes your valve to swell and it could cause an aneurysm in your brain and you die. Not alot is known about it but he's ok now he's continuing to grow so we're blessed. When I had open heart surgery 11 years ago fans were scared and we're now raising money for research into Kawasaki's and there's a Golf tournament with the HHC in June.

What about Lupus, there's an event your going to, tonight, Howie?

Howie:- yeah im not going to be able to make it because we're in the studio. Its every year at this time of the year Lupus LA have an event but im sending them my support and I always try and lend my support to other organisations. We've been blessed, we like to give back.

What are they going to be freaking out about, seriously?

Brian:- Its us, its in the title. Its a bit of rhythmic, when you play back tracks on this CD your going to be like 'who was that?' and I think thats a good thing. Its a growth sound.

AJ:- there are still some midtempo ballads that have the good vocals and sound like older tracks but there are alot of new sounds we're pushing out, mainly through production.

What do you think of bands who came before you, like New Kids? they came back and did well, so what do you think of that?

Nick: I think its inspiring, if they can come back and people still like them then why can't they like us? When we were younger, I mean we thats something we always listened to.

Howie, how did you get all the girls in school?

Howie: I used to sing unchained melody *sings a little*

AJ: when I came back to school I used to tell them im in a group and they were all like yeah its not going to amount to anything so a year later its like o...k, awesome.

Are you going to give us a clip of one of your new songs?

Howie:- Push play!

Brian:- You are my sparkles

I'm so proud of where you are today and life is so crazy, if you have one niche and you love doing it, just keep going.
