Hi boys, the title of your album is This is us, so inevitably have to ask: So, who have been the Backstreet Boys up to now? How would you define our group today? How are the BSB of this album?
AJ:We have been ourselves since 16 years ago but think that this is album is what the BSB are really….
Brian: (sits down, AJ hugs him) We are a little older, -
AJ: we smelly-er *Brian sniffs his arm*)
Brian:…we care for each other more than ten years ago. I think that we are getting better, just like good wine, we get better with age.

Hi, How would you describe your new album?
AJ: It is a collection of pop, R&B and dance music, practically the music we have grown up to.

I have followed you since the beginning and my little sister also and through all these 13 years you have made a group of fans very heterogeneous (whatever that is), of various ages and different tastes, to whom is This Is Us addressed to?
Brian: We simple have made music for those who we think are music lovers. When we started 16 years ago our fans were very very young and over time they have grown with us. Our album is for those fans who have always followed us and also for the people that love our music. And for us!

How has your music evolved in these 13 years?
AJ: I think that our music has grown with us. The sound in general and the music has changed and we have new producers...if we had taken out this album in 1999 it would have been way ahead of its time. I think we have evolved a lot and we still have more evolution to go through

You have been through a long hiatus, the beginning of your solo careers and the leaving of a group member but you have always continued as a group, form where do you gather strength to go on?
Brian: I think that our strength comes simply from making music, we are very passionate about our music. The feelings we get from our fans, everything they transmit to us makes it hard for us to leave it.

In all of these years, what has been the hardest and the most gratifying thing in your career?
AJ: There has been deaths in my family and I was in rehab. Brian got an open heart surgery. We also lost a group member. But we have to thank that we have such great families and great fans and we have each other a as a support group. The most important is that we are more united than ever and we are having a good time.
Brian: It was also very gratifying the birth of my son …
AJ: I would say Howie would say the same about his son.
Brian: …even if I didn't birthed him (laughs) it was gratifying.

What do you think about still been considered a teenpop group, with music only for teenagers, after all these years of working?[/B]
AJ: It's ok if they consider us a boyband or whatever, really we don't care anymore, it makes us feel younger, it doesnt mean that we feel older but only more grown-up... When you look at our fans they are a combination of old and new, of young and old. It cannot be said that we are a group exclusively for teenagers because we have fans our age.
Brian: I’m still trying to understand why the press or whoever still label us as a boyband because we have evolved in everything in all this time. ….I think its wrong that they put us in a box with a label from what they remember.

There has been speculation that this is your last album, is that true?
AJ: This is the beginning of a new chapter in the history of BSB. We have a contract for one more album and we will let you know. And when we are finished with that we are going to make more albums and will continue touring becasue we love it, the fans love it and without them we would be nothing.
Brian: We also lke to bother those who wish us to disappear.
AJ: The world is stuck with Backstreet Boys


Your concerts are spectacular, What suprises have you prepared for this new tour? Anything new you can share?
Brian:Our new show is going to be fun, we are going to invite our fans to watch a movie live. Don't believe we have seen any other artist do what we are going to do on stage. We are going to dance 85% of the show, we will be dancing our booties off. We are also going to have dancers, I think it will be fun. We are going to have old songs but also 8 new songs of the This Is Us album
(Brian starts to sing INBYH in Spanish at the camera).
AJ: We will also sacrifice a chicken at the end of our concert (laughs).
(AJ joins Brian in singing INBYH).
